Public Instructor-Led Course Terms & Conditions

When attending any Linux Foundation training, you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct Policy.

Payment

Payment for classes may be done on-line though Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Orders should be placed as early as possible to reserve a place in a class, but no later than four full days before the class (e.g., Thursday the week before a class beginning on Monday). Registration confirmation will be received within 24 hours.

Refunds and Cancellations

If you must cancel for any reason please visit trainingsupport.linuxfoundation.org  to notify. Refunds will only be issued for cancellations received at least 14 calendar days prior the class, and may take up to 14 calendar days to process. Please note that all refunds are subject to a 3% processing fee. If you purchased a bundle of training and certification exams and only want to refund specific items, not the entire bundle, the refund amount shall be calculated as transaction amount multiplied by the proportion of cumulative list price for the items to be refunded divided by the cumulative list price of all items in the bundle.

If you have placed an order for a hard copy version of the course materials, no cancellation will be approved, only a student substitution into the current session will be allowed.

In the event that The Linux Foundation must cancel a training class due to lack of attendance, your refund will be processed in full (no processing fee will be charged) or you can use a credit towards another future training.

Substitutions

If you are unable to attend, you can substitute another attendee in lieu of cancellation. To substitute an attendee, you may return to registration form, login in as ‘Already Registered’ and edit the registration with the new attendee’s information. Utilizing this feature will also allow you to re-issue yourself a receipt and/or confirmation should you need it. In cases where a student is being substituted for someone that has requested/ordered a hard copy of the course materials, no additional materials can be purchased (please arrange the exchange of materials on your own, if needed).

Rescheduling

If a rescheduling is requested more than 14 calendar days before a class is to be held, no penalty will be assessed and a student may elect to take the class at a later date at the same or another location. No guarantees can be made as to when the next possible session the student can attend might be. Such rescheduling can be done only twice without incurring penalties. If you have already rescheduled twice, a $1,500 penalty will be charged the third time, and any subsequent times that you reschedule. PLEASE NOTE: If you registered for a session under a promotional discount, you will not be able to reschedule under the same discount.

If a rescheduling is requested within the 14 calendar day window before the class, the student will be assessed a 50 percent penalty fee, to be paid before the class can be retaken. The same penalty will be assessed if rescheduling is requested more than twice, even if it is done more than 14 calendar days before class is to be held.

If you have placed an order for a hard copy version of the course materials, no reschedule will be approved, only a student substitution into the current session will be allowed.

No refunds will be given for students who simply fail to show up for a class.

Cancellation by The Linux Foundation

If training is cancelled due to circumstances not under the control of The Linux Foundation the student may elect to take a full refund or take a credit for the next available rescheduling of the class the student can attend. Such circumstances include natural disasters and emergencies, severe weather conditions, airline strikes and power disruptions.

If The Linux Foundation has to cancel a class for any other reason less than 12 calendar days before the start of training, the student may elect to take either a full refund or a credit for the next available rescheduling. The cost of any non-refundable airline ticket change fees will be credited towards enrollment in the rescheduled class upon receipt of proof of unused nonrefundable airline tickets.

Accessibility & Special Needs

If students have special needs that need to be taken into account in the classroom environment, they should notify The Linux Foundation two weeks in advance so any accommodating measures can be communicated to the training facility and to the instructor.
